Hello,
I am trying to migrate work items from TFS 2010 to 2012. Migration worked completely, but I am not getting any attachments in the target project. Am I missing anything?

Looking for two-way sync .

For example, if someone updates a bug in bugzilla that change reflect into my list of bugs in Team Explorer in Visual Studio? Then when I mark that bug as closed that change should propagated back to bugzilla.

Total Items migrated: 0

CAN you please let me know why 0 items is migrated ?

Commented Issue: TFS2010 Synchronization [23946]

We have established Synchronization between 2 TFS2010 Environments for Work Items and Source Code,
We have created the definition file for both,
For Work Items: We created a All Work Item team query with Exceptions to filter the Work Items to Sync.
For Source Code: We mapped folder to Sync to Target TFS Environment a All Work Item team query with exceptions to filter the work Items to Sync. and Synchronization is running from the last Six Months

Issues:
1- Now we want to add more folders mapping to Sync source code and definition is read only to change for adding Folders for source code, However we can change Work Item Query for Sync.
2- There are number of conflicts occur while synchronization and we need to resolve them, For this we Add trigger on Conflicts table of Integration Platform DB to configure notification so we become aware of conflict and can resolve instantly as Integration Platform doesn't have any mechanism for notifications, But One thing which we can not monitor that are exception which pauses the Sync process and halts the service and we need to restart the service to start Sync again.

Please help us in this regard so we can smooth our sync process.

Hi Imran,

For your 2nd point: I too faced same problem but when ever it halted with conflict i have rsolved the conflict with rule and restarted the service agin, migration went well but i have lost history at item level for below conflicts

1. When the item is moved to the workspace which is configure in the source from item not in the workspace
EG: Dev_Branch code merged to the main branch, now main branch is taken for migration so we get conflict saying item is not mapped in the workspace. In this case result was, that item will be added as new item.

Created Issue: Histroy is not visibel when migrated one project from TFS 2010 project to another project collection [24102]

Hi,

History is not visible when migrated from one team project of TFS 2010 project to another project collection.

I am able to see history on top level but on some files it is shown as added with no history.(For this file their is a history on source)

Can you please help in resolving this issue.

Created Issue: Two folders with dot in name [23904]

The tool produce a runtime error:

"Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.ItemExistsException: The item $/test/MyFolder/ already exists."

when two folders share the same name until a dot.

Example of names for the folders:
* MyFolder.Subfolder1
* MyFolder.Subfolder2

The tool try to copy MyFolder.Subfolder2 as MyFolder.

i am currently working on Clearcase to TFs 2010 migration using the TFS integration platform. 
when i am using the one way sync from clearcase to TFS -> i recieve a conflict stating TFS contains some folders and contents, resolve button would delete the same
after resolving the conflict when i start migration, the activity gets completed without migrating any data fromc clearcase to TFS2010. when i see the logs it shows the below message,

Hi Team,

We are now able to do a migration from Clearcase to TFS.
But as stated in the documentation, a detailed migration is not happening. The migration is dependent on the config spec of the view which allows only a single version of the files to be migrated.

Please let us know if we are missing out on something.

Does TFS Intergration Tools works well with Gated Build, where the changeset is not automatically checked in but will need to goes through a gated build?
I'm using Gated Build in our system and is going to use TFSIP, just want to hear your opinion before start.

TFS integration service running under my windows account A.

In house TFS server is running under my another account B and TFS preview is running under account C.

All three are different accounts.

How can I make my integration tool migrating projects from in house TFS to TFS preview.

Many shops have PVCS and are unhappy with features and capabities of PVCS, especially deep integration with Visual Studio for .NET shops. Introducing a converter for PVCS to TFS would be very useful for shops looking to move from a version control product to a full lifecycle product would be great.
